WHO WE ARE
The Giving Heart Uganda (TGHU) is a community based association located in Nawantale, Kamuli District, Uganda aimed at improving sustainable and qualitative services among its members in order to make them economically and socially stable as individuals and as a group as well.
Its major role is improving on the livelihood of its members and the community as a whole through acquiring different skills in handcraft work and farming activities with other relevant skills like hairdressing, tailoring, catering services among others.
However, as the giving heart Uganda, we have also found out the Urgent need of coming up with a care center to look after the needy kids which has been realized as one of the biggest problem affecting our community.
OUR MISSION
We design and implement programs that help build capacity, develop opportunities, and save lives around our community. With all of our programs, we believe the best way to provide effective and sustainable solutions that bring about lasting change is by working with the community and coming alongside to empower them and increase their capacity.
OBJECTIVES
General: To provide security, shelter, feeding, health care, education, love and affection to orphans, abandoned, neglected and less fortunate children.
- 1. To create an environment in which children feel safe, secure and comfortable.
- 2. To cater to the well-being of children as described in the general objectives.
- 3. To provide basic healthcare for the children in our care.
- 4. To provide the necessary framework opportunity for children in our care to build their capacities for future responsibility and good leadership.
- 5. To provide an atmosphere where children feel and know that they can be cared for and loved by others in the absence of their natural parents.
OUR GOAL
- To establish and maintain a Children’s Home and a health center in order to provide basic needs, education, love and care so as to prepare them to be productive citizens.
